ABOUT

Hey, I’m Michelle, a Philly native slightly softened by the South whose middle-child energy led to a fine arts background.

I used to be an art teacher. Not the “draw this pot of flowers“ kind, but the kind that pushed my students to communicate effectively with their creativity. Start with a message that’s clear and true, and form will follow. Since I transitioned to advertising in 2013, the mission is the same for myself and my teams. I specialize in building and leading teams who create social-first, culture-driven ideas based in smart strategy, with sharp-ass visuals and copy for resounding social, broadcast, and experiential impact.

I believe the best creative direction starts with strong management and mentorship, and I set the bar high for myself to tap into what grows and strengthens each member of my team. I like to see the bird’s eye view, but notice the details, and entrust and empower my team to bring their best and wildest ideas to fruition. Bring me your best, and I will help you turn it into gold.

In between adventures, I’m currently dwelling in NYC with my partner, our daughter, and kitty.

PRESS

I believe in the empowerment and amplification of underrepresented voices. Not just for their powerful brand and business value, but for the sake of equity across the human experience. I founded and currently host and produce Black Tea, a Muse By Clio video interview series spotlighting Black women in the advertising industry.
